For the eyes, at the end of R1, you should have 6 stitches.

R2: (Inc x2, 1sc) x2

Let’s me break this up for you.

Make 2sc in the first stitch.
Make 2sc in the second stitch.
Make 1sc in the third stitch.
Make 2sc in the fourth stitch.
Make 2sc in the fifth stitch.
Make 1sc in the sixth stitch.

When you add up the stitches you make: 2 + 2 + 1 + 2 + 2 + 1 = 10 stitches for R2

This a great pattern. However, in round two of the eyes, it says that you’ll end up with 10 stitches even though no matter what I did I ended up with 9. I might just be stupid, but just wanted to comment incase other people were having this problem too.

Hi Michelle, yes x6 means to repeat the stitches in the () for 6 times.
